April Lockhart

April Lockhart is a born July 4 April, 1995. When she was in the 7th grade she began taking guitar lessons and piano lessons. It was this that ignited her love for music writing. At the age of 12 April came up with her first original song Different. As April approached 14 years old, she spent an enormous amount of time making song concepts as well as perfecting the song. In the following months, April started taking trips in NY and LA with her Dad to help them to write songs. April also began to include different topics related to some of her classmates who struggle with issues such as social pressure and teens who commit suicide through the songs"Take my Hand. Lockhart is a well-known lifestyle influencer, as well as having partnerships with clean-cut beauty brands Ilia, has built her own fan base. Lockhart was never born with a left hand, and that is the reason she's who she is. It's just not the whole story. The profile of Lockhart on Instagram does not hide her disability but doesn't just focus on the issue. It's a message. The message? We each contain multitudes, that our identities and physical self aren't as they seem. Lockhart speaks through video from Nashville. "I do not wish for it to dictate my personal life. I do not want to be only recognized as an expert in disabilities. However, it doesn't affect my day-to-day living. I continue to do the normal things and I've adapted to my disability. It's an integral aspect of my existence, so it is important to discuss the subject. Her journey to self-acceptance is one that will last a lifetime, but she is an inspiration in this regard. Still she admits she's gone through phases with her body, at times, feeling insecure to wear particular types of clothes showing the arms of her. Now, though she dons whatever she wants and posts images of her outfits to social networks with a sense of pride. The self-love she talks about is a journey. It's hard to say if you'll ever reach the point of no return. This is, however, typical for people with doubts. I think it's vital to surround yourself people who can discern and understand your heart.
