She got married to Patton Oswalt in 2017.. Jessie James Decker........................Born Jessica Rose James, Decker's somewhat exotic birthplace was a product of her being raised in a military family. Decker's military parents lived in Louisiana when she was just 9 years old. The singer won the talent contest with the song Patsy Montana's I Want to Be a Cowboy's Sweetheart. Decker was moving to Georgia by the time she reached the age of 15. She was beginning to compose songs and made frequent visits to Nashville. In search of an agreement, she visited record companies and music publishers. The songs she wrote were offered to record labels and other artists through an agent from Big Yellow Dog Records agent in her teens. Decker's demos were passed over to L.A. Reid by Mercury Records President David Massey, who was at the time in charge for Island/Def Jam. Reid then agreed to sign Decker to a recording deal. The first self-titled effort under the moniker Jessie James arrived in August 2009. Jessie James was reasonably successful and included Wanted an album track that made it to the Top 40 of the singles charts. Decker thought of herself to be a traditional country musician in the past, was shocked to discover that the album was not marketed and focused on a mainstream audience. Following two singles from the album stiffed Decker battled with label executives for greater control over her music and her subsequent single Boys in the Summer was more of a country-centric release. Decker's sophomore album, which was announced with the title Daughter of a Gypsy or Sweet American Dreams was shelved by Mercury and three singles fared poorly in the charts of country music. Decker was let go of her contract.
